Why do we always return to the Victoria Inn? Is it because of the Adsdean Farm rib eye steaks? Yes. Is it because of the goats cheese salads? Yes. But most of all because we feel welcome and at home.
They trust us to get their favourite pub classics like Slow-cooked Sussex Shoulder of Pork absolutely right and to surprise them with something unexpected like our Polenta and Goats' Cheese dish which makes the perfect appetiser to any meal.
Our Head Chef and Landlord Toby Morgan has always been passionate about preparing fantastic food. So at the Victoria Inn wherever possible we make everything in our own kitchens and Toby will source local ingredients and farm fresh produce to create an ever evolving menu inspired by the seasons.
We often find delicious local produce, such as eggs, courgettes, plums and greengages, left at our door which then inspire a new dish on the menu. We are also conscious of our carbon footprint so wherever possible we endeavour to keep our food waste low, hence the ever evolving menu!
You can dine in six different areas, including our sunny dining room and the Vic Inn garden nestled in the heart of the South Downs. With stunning country views our garden has regularly been complimented as one of the best beer gardens in the South East of England. The patio sheltered next to the pub offers al fresco dining from early March and as late as October. Our fantastic outdoor space enables larger celebrations and bespoke bookings to enjoy barbeques, giant paellas or a lamb spit with a pop up outside bar whenever the weather permits.
Whether you are local or just visiting, whether you join us for lunch or dinner, we are passionate about serving the food you want. Toby loves to create hearty seasonal home cooked pub food but is only too willing to accommodate your individual requirements. We offer smaller portions for smaller appetites and will always try to be as flexible as possible with any requirements you may have.

There is something for everyone on our seasonal menu of home cooked hearty pub food. We have our now famous homemade pies, a pie of the day and the Victoria fish pie. There are platters to share, local Adsdean steaks, fish dishes and tasty vegetarian options too.
Then there is our daily changing specials board with seasonal dishes. Here you will find some old favourites, but also delicious new dishes inspired by Toby, fresh seasonal produce he has available, or by you.

On a Sunday the Victoria Inn offers our very popular roasts which always includes Adsdean Farm Sirloin of Beef and Shoulder of Pork along with delicious rosemary roast potatoes, fluffy thyme Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables and the best homemade gravy around!
We also cook Sunday vegetarian options such as baked field mushroom stack, some light bites and snacks, so you can relax and choose whatever suits you.

Home cooked food prepared just how you want it.
We offer small portions of our dishes as well as lighter options such as Toby's naked beef burger which is just like our normal homemade Victoria burger but without the bun!
Plus there is our Lighter Lunch Menu better for your wallet and your waist line! The Lighter Lunch Menu is available Tuesday to Thursday lunch times and changes every 2 weeks.
You can choose from 1 main course for £7, 2 courses for £10.50 or 3 courses for £13.
